The Badia palace in Marrakech is considered one of the masterpieces of architecture in Morocco. Ahmed Mansour chose the north-eastern corner to build this palace, which is dedicated to holding concerts and organizing official receptions. Work began in December 1578 and continued for 16 years. Although the palace is currently in ruins, we have several historical texts and designs that enable us to identify its architecture, architectural components and decoration.
A Portuguese design dating back to 1585 indicates that the palace was surrounded by a reinforced wall in its four corners with towers and accessed through several doors, the main of which is in the southwest. The mausoleum of the honorable Saadi is one of the most famous shrines in Morocco and one of the historical monuments of the city of Marrakech, located in the Kasiba and was closed to the time of protection, where it was discovered as a historical landmark. Built in 1557 by Sultan Abdullah al-Ghalib and extended by Sultan Ahmed al-Mansur, this mausoleum houses most of the Saudi sultans and their family members. The cemetery consists of two sides
The first part consists of three halls, one is a prayer hall consisting of three tiles with several graves dating back to the eighteenth century. The mihrab is a five-angle niche with a broken and overriding arch resting on four varieties of marble columns and covered by a muqarnas dome. The mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ahmed El Mansour and next to the tomb of his son Zidane.
The second is the middle hall, known as the same twelve columns, and is one of the most beautiful wings of the first group. The hall is based on four groups of three columns of marble “Karar” and is covered by a dome with a carved wooden ceiling and decorated with muqarnas, like the eastern wing of the contemporary mosque of the villagers.
The finest place in this hall embraces the tomb of Sultan Ahmed al-Mansur al-Dhahabi, the pavilion of this pavilion and the tomb of his son Zaidan al-Nasser bin Ahmed, as well as the graves of some of his successors.
